ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program empowers passionate students to become leaders in robotics education within their schools. Ambassadors are students who love building robots and want to inspire others to discover the excitement of electronics, programming, and hands-on engineering.
We select 2-3 outstanding students from each participating school to serve as official Scratch Robots Ambassadors. These student leaders help spread awareness about robotics, assist fellow learners, and become the face of the maker movement in their communities.

FLEXIBLE & FUN
Ambassador Responsibilities
Approximately 2-4 hours per month
Awareness & Outreach
- Promote Scratch Robots within your school community through announcements, posters, and word-of-mouth
- Organize or participate in robotics demonstrations during school events, STEM nights, or club fairs
- Share your project builds on social media (with parent/guardian permission) and tag @ScratchRobots
Peer Support & Mentorship
- Serve as a first point of contact for other Scratch Robots students at your school
- Help troubleshoot basic issues with builds, wiring, or code during group sessions
- Encourage and motivate peers who may be struggling with projects
Community Engagement
- Participate in monthly virtual ambassador meetups (30-45 minutes)
- Provide feedback on projects, learning materials, and overall program experience
- Submit a brief monthly update on activities and student engagement at your school

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Who We're Looking For
- Grade Level: Currently enrolled in grades 6-12 or equivalent (upper middle school or high school)
- Passion for Robotics: Demonstrated enthusiasm for electronics, coding, and building
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain concepts to peers and engage positively with others
- Time Commitment: Can dedicate 2-4 hours per month to ambassador activities
- Parent/Guardian Approval: Written consent from a parent or guardian is required

Program Curriculum Alignment

APPLICATION PROCESS
How to Apply
Complete the Online Application
Visit scratchrobots.com/ambassador and fill out the application form with your information, school details, and a short essay about why you want to be an ambassador.
Submit Your Project Portfolio
Share photos or videos of 1-2 projects you've built (Scratch Robots projects or your own creations). Tell us what you learned and any challenges you overcame.
Get a Recommendation
Include contact information for a teacher, counselor, or club advisor who can speak to your character and involvement.
Parent/Guardian Consent
Have your parent or guardian complete the consent section of the application.
Interview (if selected)
Qualified applicants will be invited to a brief 15-minute video interview with our team.
Note: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We select 2-3 ambassadors per school to ensure each ambassador can make a meaningful impact in their community.
Frequently Asked Questions
The minimum commitment is one semester (6 months). Ambassadors who wish to continue can renew their status each semester as long as they remain active and in good standing.
We understand that school and life can get busy. If you need to take a break or step back, simply let us know. Ambassadors who are inactive for more than 2 consecutive months without communication may be removed from the program but are welcome to reapply in the future.
Absolutely! You don't need an existing robotics club. In fact, ambassadors often help start informal robotics interest groups at their schools.
You should have completed at least 2 months of the Scratch Robots curriculum or have equivalent experience. We're looking for enthusiasm and willingness to learn as much as existing technical skills.
We select 2-3 ambassadors per school. This ensures each ambassador can make a meaningful impact while also having peer support from fellow ambassadors.
